Five Things to Do on a Long Plane Ride

Hello! If you travel often, you likely take a lot of plane flights. When I get on a plane, I try to find an open window seat. Anticipation and excitement fill my body as the plane takes off. You can't wait to get to your destination. Now comes the hard part. Waiting to get to my destination. Here's a few things to do other than stare at a device.

1. Look out the window

Instead of staring at your phone, stare out the window. It might sound boring to you, but I enjoy getting a bird's eye view of the world for a few hours. I love to do it when I'm flying over scenic nature.

2. Color

Yes, you read that clearly. Coloring is not only entertaining for small children, but is fun and also beneficial for adults. You can purchase an adult coloring book from most retailers or print out a coloring page from the internet. Here's a page I did at home.

3. Sleep

If you've ever been on a plane when you were little, your parents probably told you to not be so loud during the flight, so relax! This is your chance to rest up without a lot of noise(well, no noise coming from people, so in that case, plug in your earbuds and listen to relaxing music).

4. Take pictures of the view

Yeah, yeah, I know. I told you not to spend the entire flight on your phone. But the sight of the world hundreds of feet below you isn't going to last forever. So go ahead, take a few pics before you land.

5. Embellish your personal property(aimed toward females)

Prior to the trip, visit your local craft shop and buy things like rhinestone stickers, patterned tape, and just good ol' stickers. Then when you're on the plane, you can decorate personal property like your phone case, a photo frame, a notebook, or even just a plain container. Like number 2, crafting and coloring are not just for kids and can be done at home, too. I actually decorated my phone case a few days ago with some tape I got from Michael's.

I hope you enjoy these ideas for long flights. You can follow/stalk(heehee) me on Twitter(@lolitalea5_15), Pinterest, and Instagram(@lolitalea12 for both). Chao!
